A total of 63 potential passers for Seal of Good Local Governance for barangays (SGLGB) in the province was validated on November 4-8, 2019. The barangays come from the Municipalities of Bustos, Plaridel, Sta. Maria, San Rafael, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Bulakan, San Miguel, Calumpit, Baliwag, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Paombong, Marilao, Bocaue, Obando, Pulilan as well as from the City of San Jose Del Monte.

The Seal of Good Local Governance is an award incentive program for performing barangays in the core areas of Peace and Order, Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness and essential areas of Social Protection, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness and Environmental Management. In order to successfully pass the assessment, barangays need to pass all three core areas plus one essential area.
The provincial validation team has assessed the completeness and truthfulness of documentary requirements. Successful passers may receive recognition and possible incentives in the following years.
