Sabuaga performers

With the joint venture of the LGU under the stewardship of Hon. Mayor Joselito F. Naguit and Maleldo 2013 Execom of St. Thomas, the Apostle Parish, the “Sabuaga Festival” was held last March 31, 2013.  The activity can be compared with the festival of other towns like the “Panagbenga” of Baguio City and “Sinulog Festival” of Cebu because of its colorful street performances particularly the unique costumes and choreography of participating dancers. It is a yearly activity conducted during Easter Sunday in the observance of the Holy Week.  Sabuaga came from the combined Kapampangan words “Sabuag” and “Sampaga” meaning to shower flower.

   The DILG Pampanga Provincial Office conducted the First PMCC Meeting for CY 2013 on March 6, 2103.  The meeting was presided by DILG Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol- Fabia  and attended by the members of the Provincial Management Coordinating Committee (PMCC) namely:  PNP Provincial Director R’win S. Pagkalinawan, NAPOLCOM Provincial Hearing Officer Atty. Bernardita V. Joven, BFP Provincial Director Emmanuel M. Arrozal and BJMP Provincial Director Rufino M. Santiago, Jr.

Mayor Oscar Rodriguez encouraged National Government Agencies, Barangay Officials, Schools and Business Establishment to join in the citywide clean-up day on February 1, 2013 at 6:00 AM-9:00 AM. This activity was aimed to inculcate in the minds of people to promote clean and green environment.

   Being the lead agency in the implementation of Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig Para sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) together with the Department of Health (DOH) and National Poverty Commission (NAPC), DILG Bulacan OIC-Provincial Director Darwin D. David awarded the first tranche of SALINTUBIG fund amounting to Php1M to Angat, Bulacan on February 09, 2015 at the DILG Provincial Office. The said LGU was represented by Municipal Treasurer Melba M. Dizon.

   BSTBulacan

   Another batch of Barangay Secretaries in the Province of Bulacan was provided with Enhancement Training on their skills in performing their duties, conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Bulacan in partnership with the Liga ng mga Barangay Bulacan Federation on February 17-18, 2015 at Klir Waterpark Resort and Hotel, Sta. Rita, Guiguinto, Bulacan. The activity was attended by the Brgy. Secretaries from the LGUs of Malolos City, Angat, Bulakan, Calumpit, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Pandi, Paombong, San Ildefonso, and Obando, who were not able to join the first batch of the training last December 2014.
