      Pursuant to Joint Memorandum Circular No. 3 Series of 2012, DILG Pampanga conducted a Workshop on the Formulation of Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (LPRAP) on January 22 and 23, 2013 held at EuroAsia Hotel, Balibago, Angeles City.  

 
     The activity was conducted in two batches to include Apalit, Candaba, City of San Fernando, Masanto, Mexico and San Simon for the first batch and Guagua, Lubao, Macabebe, San Luis and Sasmuan for the second batch. Participants were chairmen and members of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Teams, local officials, department heads and other local functionaries and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from these LGUs.

     DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, in her welcome message, urged the participants to be accountable and responsive in delivering basic services in order to uplift the living conditions of their constituents. She also encouraged their active involvement in crafting their Local Poverty Reduction Action Plans so as to address the gaps in their respective LGUs.
 
    LGOO VI Jose Algy B. Canlas, BUB Provincial Focal Person, discussed the Salient Features of JMC No. 3 Series of 2012 particularly its purpose, coverage, beneficiaries, key player roles and responsibilities, fund source, project Implementation and BUB Preparation Calendar.

    Likewise, Cluster Team Leader Renalyn D. Iglesias, discussed the menu of programs of the 12 participating agencies involved in the BUB which are included in the 80% of the priority projects.

    After the discussion, a workshop ensued. Each LGU identified all the programs and projects based on their needs. Respective outputs were then presented to the group.

    Observers present during the two-day activity were Pampanga Provincial Director Elenita Ordonio and Mr. Darby Bognot of DTI, Mr. Ariel Dayrit of DBM Regional Office and LGOO V Mariel Estacio of DILG Regional Office.

    PD Ordonio also shared information on DTI programs and projects while Mr. Dayrit explained how the funds will be released to LGUs.
