   Another batch of Barangay Secretaries in the Province of Bulacan was provided with Enhancement Training on their skills in performing their duties, conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Bulacan in partnership with the Liga ng mga Barangay Bulacan Federation on February 17-18, 2015 at Klir Waterpark Resort and Hotel, Sta. Rita, Guiguinto, Bulacan. The activity was attended by the Brgy. Secretaries from the LGUs of Malolos City, Angat, Bulakan, Calumpit, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Pandi, Paombong, San Ildefonso, and Obando, who were not able to join the first batch of the training last December 2014.

   PD Darwin David welcomed and extended his message to the participants emphasizing the important duties and responsibilities of the Secretary in the day to day operation of the Barangay. Likewise, Ceferino De Guzman, Executive Assistant of the LnB Bulacan President Mark Cholo Violago, delivers the message of the latter urging them to continue their hardwork in giving service to the public. Vice President of the LnB Bulacan Federation Leonardo Valeda thanked the participants for their active participation and ensured them of the continuous support of the LnB Bulacan to the Barangay Secretaries.


   Module 1- Roles, Duties and Responsibilities of Barangay Secretaries, Module 2- Administrative Communication and Technical Writing, Module 3- Katarungang Pambarangay and Module 4- Records Management and 5S principles in Records Keeping were presented by LGOO VI Victoria Gabe, LGOO VI Lydia Baltazar, LGOO V Pedro Sambas and LGOO VI Imelda Magat, respectively.


   Series of Workshops were conducted in writing effective communications and letters as well as the proper drafting of Ordinance and Resolution. Likewise, the participants also presented the different records/ files in the Barangay Hall and the problems encountered in records management with corresponding solutions. Presentation of workshop output was done to ascertain the extent of the participants understanding and comprehension on the topics discussed.
