A virtual signing of Memorandum of Understanding was conducted to formalize partnership between the Department through PD Darwin D. David and Association of Indigent and Less Fortunate Dwellers (AILFD) of Metro Manila and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Inc. through Zoom Meeting Application on October 8, 2021.
“Ang DILG naman po ay isa po sa talagang nag a-advocate ng participative governance. Kailangan po nating ma-engage ang mga Civil Society Organizations dahil sila po ang nagre-represent po ng ating sambayanan upang malaman po nila ang ginagawa ng gobyerno”, said PD Darwin David in his message.
Through DILG Memorandum no. 2018-89, or the Guidelines on engagements with Civil Society Organization, said CSO will engage in “Capacitating Local Government Units on DILG Policy Guidelines Relating on Housing and Resettlement” limited to the following resettlement sites under the Resettlement Governance Assistance Fund (RGAF):
- Towerville VI Resettlement Site (City of San Jose Del Monte);
- San Jose Del Monte Heights Resettlement Site; and
- Norzagaray Heights Resettlement Site
Moreover, Ms. Jovie G. Ramos, President of AILFD, thanked the Department for the opportunity and assured the Department that they will do their best to produce desired outcomes.
Present during the activity are LGOO II Armee Joyce M. Sumang, LGOO II Dianne Jillian S. Ocampo (both from DILG Bulacan), and Mr. Juan Paulo Rodriguez (AILFD) who served as witnesses for the virtual signing.
