The 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Regional Assessment in Bataan concluded, evaluating 13 local government units (LGUs) from May 27 to June 13, 2024.
OIC-City Director Melissa D. Nipal of DILG Olongapo City led the assessment for one city and 11 municipalities in the province, with LGOO V Jaquelyn Calimlim and LGOO V Aljon Bautista as documenters. The assessment team also includes representatives from the National Council of Chaplain Philippines Inc.-Bataan as the civil society organization (CSO).
Vying for the seventh seal, the Provincial Government of Bataan was assessed by LG MED Chief Lerrie S. Hernandez, along with LGOO V Fatima Lalu and LGOO IV Renzo Miranda from the DILG Regional Office.
Moreover, the DILG Bataan SGLG Team, led by PD Belina T. Herman, provided assistance and support to the LGUs during the regional validation.
The SGLG assessment is a rigorous evaluation process designed to promote transparency, accountability, and exemplary performance among local governments. After the regional assessment, the documents submitted by the RAT will be calibrated for vetting and approval.
