"When the why is powerful, the how is easy."
These inspiring words motivated the personnel of the DILG Bataan Provincial Office as they outlined their objectives for the programs and units they oversee during the Program Officers' Workplan and Evaluation Review (POWER) held on Feb. 12-13, 2024, at SAP Chalet, Dinalupihan.
Recognizing the effectiveness of debriefing sessions combined with strategic planning, DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman spearheaded the activity to invigorate the team and prepare everyone for upcoming audits, report submissions, and activities.
In addition to the customary presentations by the provincial focal persons on their respective DILG programs, projects, and activities (PPAs), the event featured discussions on the new DILG Thrust and Framework, an orientation on the Local Governance Resource Center, and the scheduling of targets for the year.
Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the activity took place in an upland modern-style resort, featuring its cool and windy ambiance, to inject an element of relaxation and foster a more casual, interactive learning environment. Also present during the two-day activity were OIC-CTL Cristy Blanco, and former program managers LGOO VI Allan Don Malonzo and LGOO V Laverne Gonzales, Jr., who served as “panelists” for this year’s POWER.
