On January 23, 2024, DILG Bataan held the Reorientation on the Enhanced Guidelines on the Operationalization of the Child Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), Local Councils for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and Local Committees on Anti-trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) via Zoom.

In her opening remarks, Provincial Director, Belina T. Herman emphasized that the youth are the hope of the nation - "Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan,” and reinforce the need to integrate them into public policies to contribute in the societal progress.

LGOO V Joanna Marie Cruz discussed the CFLGA using the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Knowledge Management System (SCFLG-KMS). Likewise, LGOO II Michelle F. Samson presented the LCPC Assessment while ADAS II Vangie Rodriguez introduced the LCAT-VAWC assessment.

Participated by C/MLGOOs, C/MSWDO and other members of the IMTF namely: C/MPDO, C/MHO and representatives from DepEd and NGOs, said orientation has set the stage for a year of audits, preparing the local government units of Bataan the necessary knowledge to implement and assess child-friendly policies, combat trafficking and violence, and strengthen mechanisms for the protection of children at the local level.
