Barangays Alangan, Limay and Sta. Lucia, Samal are once again the province's entries for the Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards. The LTIA Regional Awards Committee (RAC) visited the barangays yesterday, May 15, 2023, to conduct an onsite validation at Barangay Alangan, Limay for the 1st to 3rd class municipalities category and Barangay Sta. Lucia, Samal for the 4th to 6th class municipalities category.
PB Teresita Dela Rea of Alangan and PB Ruperto Forbes of Sta. Lucia presented with pride and honor their respective Lupons' exemplary performance and accomplishments in settling disputes, as well as their innovative approaches for a speedy conflict resolution to the regional validators.
Said assessment was graced by Limay Municipal Administrator Danilo Datay and Samal Vice Mayor Ronald Ortiguerra.
Provincial Director Belina Herman was also present during the RAC visit together with LGOO V Joanna Marie Cruz and ADAS II Vangie Rodriguez. The lupons of Alangan and Sta. Lucia are guided by their DILG Officers, MLGOO Evelyn Matias and MLGOO Ma. Jasmin Bartolo, respectively.
Regional winners in the three categories will represent Central Luzon and move on to the LTIA national assessment. Notably, Brgy. Alangan was awarded as the 2nd runner-up in the 2022 LTIA national awards and was also a two-time national winner.
LTIA was established to grant economic and other incentives to lupons for their outstanding contributions to attain the objectives of the Katarungang Pambarangay to provide cost-efficient and speedy conflict resolution.
