As part of the "TGIF" or "Think GAD, it's Friday" initiative, DILG Bataan took a proactive step in raising awareness about the Safe Spaces Act through the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials on March 17, 2023.

Particularly, the said campaign is in celebration of the National Women's Month which focuses on promoting gender equality and women empowerment. Featuring some of the gender-based sexual harassments that are punishable under Republic Act No. 11313, the posters were given not only to government workers but also to students and residents of Balanga City.

Moreover, these reading materials, as designed by the Philippine Commission on Women, aim to encourage the public, bystanders included, to speak up against any form of violence or harassment, and provide information on how victims can seek help.

By distributing these informational materials, DILG Bataan hopes to create more inclusive and safe spaces in various settings, such as workplaces, schools, and public areas. With the "TGIF" campaign, the Department is taking an important step towards building a more equitable and just society, where people can be themselves without fear of discrimination or harm. #TGIF
