CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – 13 out of 13 or 100% of the provincial, city and municipal local government units of Bataan were recognized during the 2022 Regional ADAC (Anti-Drug Abuse Council) Performance Awards held at the Kingsborough International Convention Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on January 16, 2023.
These are the Provincial Government of Bataan, the City of Balanga and the municipalities of Abucay, Bagac, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Limay, Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion, Pilar and Samal.
During the activity, special recognition was also given to the LGUs of Dinalupihan, Hermosa and Pilar for being National ADAC Awardees as they garnered perfect scores in both the ADAC functionality audit and awarding assessment. An incentive of P100,000 allocated for their anti-drug campaign program was awarded to the said LGUs.
Adding to its already long list of accolades, Bataan is also the only province in Central Luzon that obtained the "Ideal" Rating for all its provincial, city and municipal ADACs (13/13=100%).
Leading the Bataan LGU functionaries who received the awards were Board Member Romano 'Popoy' Del Rosario, Abucay Mayor Robin Tagle, Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion, Orani Mayor Efren Pascual Jr., Orion Vice Mayor Rex Fuster, Samal Vice Mayor Ronnie Ortiguerra, Bagac Councilor Noel Dela Rosa and Morong Councilor German Noriega.
DILG Bataan, headed by Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, the 12 C/MLGOOs of Bataan and LGOO V Laverne Gonzales, Jr. also attended the activity.
The ADAC Performance Awards recognizes the LGUs for their exemplary performance in complementing the national government's anti-illegal drug campaign and also highlighting the community involvement in preventing the proliferation of illegal drugs under the Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) program.
