As part of the Department's mandate to monitor and evaluate the performance of the local government units in the implementation of locally-funded projects (LFPs), the DILG Bataan LFP Unit facilitated a Provincial Assessment and Calibration of LFPs' Status Reports on January 10, 2023 at the Limay Multi-purpose Building, Limay, Bataan.
In her message, PD Belina Herman thanked the local functionaries from the 13 provincial, city and municipal LGUs of Bataan for attending the first LFP meeting of the year, and urged them to keep pace with the upward trend in the management of projects.
"Let us start strong so we can finish strong," the provincial director expressed.
The personnel from the Provincial LFP Unit, led by Program Manager Allan Don Malonzo, facilitated the discussion on the physical and financial statuses of LFPs. The team also oriented the LGU focal persons on matters related to the FY 2022 Financial Assistance to LGUs (FALGU), FY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF), FY 2023 Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP), various M&E systems, and other subprograms under LFP.
Moreover, Provincial Focal Person Mark Angelo Pumares presented several initiatives of the team and strategies to continuously aid the LGUs in complying with the reportorial requirement under LFP.
The meeting concluded with the awarding of certificates to the LGUs that performed exemplarily last year particularly on the submission of Municipal Water Supply and Sanitation Master Plan (MWSSMP), Local Road Management Performance Assessment Tool (LRMPAT), Road and Bridge Information System (RBIS) Action Plan, Monthly Featured Projects, as well as on the compliance to the RBME for LGU Infrastructure Projects (RLIP) and updating of the SubayBAYAN Portal.
