In line with the commitment of promoting excellence in barangay governance, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Aurora through the LGRRC Tambuli partnered with the Department of Justice - Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (DOJ-OADR) headed by Usec. Irene De Torres Alogoc, CESO I, to provide a 3-day capacity development training to selected Lupon members of the 151 barangays of the Province of Aurora.
The activity is currently being simultaneously conducted in three (3) different clusters and locations, starting today, March 19, 2024:
Cluster 1 : Baler, Dilasag, Dinalungan and San Luis
Venue: AMCO Beach Resort, Sabang, Baler, Aurora
Cluster 2 : Maria Aurora and Dingalan
Venue: Maria Aurora Multi-Purpose Hall, Municipal Building, Maria Aurora, Aurora
Cluster 3 : Casiguran and Dipaculao
Venue: Don Claro M. Recto Amphitheater, Dipaculao, Aurora
The 3-day course aims to discuss and familiarized the participants with the different ADR mechanisms such as mediation, conciliation and arbitration under the KP Law. It will be divided into lectures and activities to demonstrate skills necessary for the conduct of interest-based mediation.
Pool of experts from the DILG Aurora and DOJ-OADR shall serve as resource speakers.
