The Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIMTF) and Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Team (PIMT) conducts its annual functionality assessment on-site on March 05-15, 2024 in the Province of Aurora.

The PIMTF and PIMT mapped 8 Local Councils for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC) and comprehensively examined their respective operations. During the on-site functionality assessment, the MCPCs and MCAT VAWs presented various documentation of policies, plans, reports, and advocacies as evidences in their actions and accomplishments to elevate women and children’s welfare.
Meanwhile, the PIMTF and PIMT provided recommendations and charted areas for improvement to enhance LGU's documentation and improve their level of functionality.
The PIMTF and PIMT were led by the DILG Aurora. The team was composed of LGOO V Bon Paby P. Mingua and LGOO V Clarissa G. Hess from DILG, SWO Charlene Jane C. Saturno from PSWDO, Midwife IV Laila Christina S. Baning, and Stat I Marilou Reopta from PHO, AO IV Nina Victoria Morada from Budget Office, PDO I Arvin Dan Palmero from PPDO, and PCapt Lorena O. Bautista from APPO.
MCPCs and MCAT-VAWCs are crucial for strengthening community protection and promoting the well-being of children, women, and families. By evaluating the effectiveness of these local mechanisms in addressing child protection, anti-trafficking, and VAWC issues, LGUs can better fulfill their role as frontline protectors of human rights at the grassroots level.
