Said undertaking is in line with the implementation of the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) Program—a performance-based measuring tool of the DILG wherein the Municipality of Maria Aurora, Aurora is the targeted LGU for 2022-2023.
The CSIS Presentation of Results and Focus Group Discussion served as an avenue to deliver the citizen satisfaction survey results to the CSOs and determine relevant interventions from their organizations to deepen their participation in local governance through the local special bodies, thus encouraging participative governance.
DILG Aurora LGOO II Gerald Philip DC. Esteves served as the program moderator and discussed the overview of the CSIS, highlighting the core concepts of the program and its implementation in the Province. The comprehensive CSIS results were then presented by the core team from Wesleyan University of the Philippines through Professor Allan B. Chavez.
In his message, Mayor Ariel S. Bitong expressed his gratitude to the DILG and WUP and highlighted that through the result of this study, LGU Maria Aurora shall continue in providing excellent public service to the public. “Kung anuman po ang naging resulta nitong pag aaral na ito, nangangako ang LGU Maria Aurora na lalo nating pagiibayuhin ang ating serbisyo publiko.”, he said.
The CSIS is a program of the DILG with the assistance of a Local Resource Institute that utilizes a set of data tools designed to collect and generate relevant citizens’ feedback on local governments’ service delivery performance and on the citizens’ general satisfaction.
