More than 150 Lupon members of 24 barangays of Casiguran, Aurora were capacitated through the collaborative launching of KP DREAMS Program between the Municipal Peace and Order Council of Casiguran and DILG Aurora sub-LGRRC Tambuli on December 16, 2023.
The one-day activity entitled, "KP DREAMS: Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards Orientation and Skills Enhancement Training for Lupon" served as a venue to orient the participants on LTIA guidelines, Features of Katarungang Pambarangay Law, amicable settlement techniques, KP Forms, and 100-days guide for newly elected barangay officials.
The activity was facilitated by DILG Casiguran MLGOO Florenz Zaira B. Buenconsejo with the LGRC pool of speakers led by PD Ener P. Cambronero, CESE together with CTL Ariel G. Espinosa and LGOO VI Jesus L..Vizconde Jr.
The KP DREAMS stands for KP Katarungang Pambarangay Basic Knowledge, D- Determination of cases, R- Records Management, E- Execution of Settlements, A- Arbitration Proceedings, M- Mediation and Conciliation, and S- Strategies and Innovations. The program shall comprise of series of capacity development interventions to ALL Lupong Tagapamayapa members and other barangay officials to be able to be familiarized and level up their knowledge and skills in effective performance of their duties and functions in resolving barangay disputes.
