DILG Nueva Ecija has conducted a Provincial Orientation on the Guidelines in Monitoring the Functionality of Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) on June 03, 2021 via Zoom Platform. It was attended by the DILG City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers and Provincial, City and Municipal Social Welfare Development Officers of each LGU in Nueva Ecija.
Program Manager - LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes emphasized that the purpose of the activity is to ensure the uniformity in understanding of LGUs in the guidelines and documentary requirements to be submitted by the LGUs to the Regional and Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Teams for the CY 2019 and 2020 LCAT-VAWC functionality assessment.
LGOO II Maria Gabriela Isabel C. Bernardez presented the legal basis for the assessment and the various LCAT-VAWC related Joint Memorandum Circulars of the Department and its purpose. She also gave an overview of the composition for Areas of Assessment of LCAT-VAWC comprising of 10% for Organization, 10% for Meetings, 30% for Policies, Plans and Budget and 50% for Accomplishments.
LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes profoundly discussed the technical notes in monitoring the functionality of LCAT-VAWC and presented the official timeline for the assessment.
The LCAT-VAWC Functionality Assessment signifies the progressive governance that must be entrenched in every LGU even in these trying times.

The year 2022 is a year of renewal. Just like a Phoenix rising from the ashes of its previous life, it was a year of hope for better things to come. From the pain, difficulties and challenges bought about by the Covid-19 pandemic which adversely affected all individuals in all corners of the world regardless of race, status and wealth, we have become stronger and more resilient after being tempered by such difficult time and taxing circumstances. As we start to do away with our gloves, mask, disinfectant and alcohol laden kits and open our homes and offices and personally meet with friends, clients and visitors with smiles and handshakes, we begin to appreciate more the simple things which we have missed during pandemic such as the warmth of personal physical interaction and the joy of public discourse and festivities.
As public servants adapting to the new normal, we are mandated to provide not only the required high standard of public service but as well as to live as just and upright members of society, a source of pride and joy for the institution we represent, battling misinformation and fake news and capable of drawing respect and maintaining public trust and confidence especially during times of emergency and crises.
As we reflect and thank the Lord for the life and the opportunity to be with our family, friends and colleagues, we also remember and pray for the loved ones and friends who are no longer with us and recognize and honor those in the public service who have sacrificed their lives for the sake of our country. We now step toward the future more prepared and confident because of their sacrifices - learning from them that daunting the challenges, we can overcome and persevere.
Let us all remember that it’s the trying times that makes us stronger!
Levelling off on recent issuances and reports, DILG Nueva Ecija holds monthly team conference for May 2021

To give light on the implementation of recent Department issuances, level off on the status of submission of reports, remind on report deadlines and address field concerns, all DILG Nueva Ecija personnel convened for a Provincial Team Conference (PTC) last May 26, 2021 via Zoom Meetings application.
Kicking off the activity were LGOO VII Ariel G. Espinosa and LGOO VII Danilo C. Rillera, Cluster Team Leaders, who acknowledged the presence of Field Officers under their respective clusters. Subsequently, Program Manager and LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes led the discussion of recent Department issuances pertaining to the sustainability of Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) funds, submission of Local Cultural Inventory and others. Thereafter, Section Chief and LGOO V Anna Marie P. Batad presented the status of submission of reports, updates and announcements for the Capability Development Section. Under the Section, Engr II John Paul R. Ramos presented the status of the DILG Locally-Funded Projects.
Going forward, LGOO III Vivorey S. Lapitan presented the status of submission of reports, updates and announcements for the Monitoring and Evaluation Section. Concluding the presentation for the status of submission of reports, updates and announcements was Section Chief and LGOO V Edgardo W. Adriano, Jr. who made important announcements from the Finance and Administrative Section. LGOO II Kristian Rob D. Santiago, with the technical assistance of LGOO III Philip Nathan B. Moral, moderated the activity.
DILG Nueva Ecija is religiously conducting monthly PTCs to continually improve its services to its clientele.
