With the nationwide implementation of the Alert Level System for COVID-19, the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office in coordination with the DOH Nueva Ecija, conducted the Provincial Orientation on the Guidelines of the Alert Level System on November 22, 2021 via Zoom Meeting Application.
The activity was attended by the City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (C/MLGOOs), DILG and LGU hired Contact Tracers, Members of the BHERTs and other concerned LGU Functionaries in the province. The aim of this activity was to orient the participants on the salient features of the recently issued IATF-MEID guidelines. Mr. Jonar Angelo Dungca of DOH- Nueva Ecija presented the Matrices on how to determine the Alert Level Systems. These systems refer to the new Community Quarantine Classifications as strategy against COVID-19 covering entire cities, municipalities and/or regions; through System Indicators, Triggers and Thresholds. He also discussed the summary of action points per Alert level and emphasized that these levels give emphasis on high-risk activities (Closed, Crowded, Close Contact) and implementation of granular lockdowns.
On the other hand, LGOO III Vivorey S. Lapitan of DILG Nueva Ecija, discussed the guidelines for areas under Alerts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. He enumerated the allowed activities and various exemptions per alert level. He also reiterated to always observe the minimum public health standards (MMPHS) with regard to the implementation of the said guidelines.
As we adhere to the new quarantine classifications, we are encouraged to embrace the new normal and intensify our efforts to fight against COVID-19. As mentioned by Mr. Dungca, “we learn to live with the virus”.
