A total of 180 participants from 36 barangays in Macabebe and Sasmuan took part in a two-day capacity development activity entitled Planning for Coastal Barangays: Delivery of Optimal and Efficient Services through Retooling of the Community Support Program (RCSP).
This initiative, aligned with the whole-of-nation approach to ending local communist armed conflict, aims to reinforce peacebuilding efforts and promote sustainable development at the grassroots level by enhancing Barangay Development Plans (BDPs) and equipping local leaders with practical skills to improve community planning, programming, and monitoring in addressing the root causes of conflict—such as poverty, marginalization, and limited access to basic services.
The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC), as part of their ongoing commitment to maintaining and strengthening the state of stable internal peace and security in Pampanga.
