CITY OF MALOLOS, BULACAN | The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bulacan, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Bulacan, held the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Provincial Orientation on May 21, 2024, at Mariano Ponce Hall, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center.
Said activity is a follow-through session after the online regional orientation to level understanding and clarify concerns on the ten (10) governance areas and administrative requirements of SGLG.
PD Myrvi Fabia emphasized that the key to pass SGLG is early preparation. She presented the level of compliance to the 10 governance areas of LGUs in the province based on the result of last year’s assessment.
Reaffirming the commitment for excellence, Vice Governor Alex Castro challenged the LGU to embrace the upscaling indicators of the SGLG in the face of ever-changing era in local governance. Present in the activity are the Local Planning and Development Coordinators, City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, and LGU SGLG Focal Persons in the province.
The Seal of Good Local Governance is the highest recognition and the most prestigious award given to LGUs that exhibit excellence and integrity in public service delivery. This recognition serves as a continuing challenge for LGUs to strive for improved performance and compliance, ensuring better governance and service delivery for their constituents now and in the future.
