In line with the commitment of promoting excellence in barangay governance, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Aurora, through the LGRRC Tambuli, partnered with the Department of Justice - Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution (DOJ-OADR) headed by Usec. Irene De Torres Alogoc, CESO I, to provide a 3-day capacity development training to select Lupon members of the 151 barangays in Aurora.

The activity is simultaneously conducted in three (3) different clusters and locations, to wit:

Cluster 1 : Baler, Dilasag, Dinalungan and San Luis
Venue: AMCO Beach Resort, Sabang, Baler, Aurora

Cluster 2 : Maria Aurora and Dingalan
Venue: Maria Aurora Multi-Purpose Hall, Municipal Building, Maria Aurora, Aurora

Cluster 3 : Casiguran and Dipaculao
Venue: Don Claro M. Recto Amphitheater, Dipaculao, Aurora

The 3-day course aims to discuss and familiarize the participants with different ADR mechanisms such as mediation, conciliation and arbitration under the KP Law. It will be divided into lectures and activities to demonstrate skills necessary for the conduct of interest-based mediation.
