MARCH 22, 2024 – DILG Nueva Ecija, under the adept leadership of Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. CESO V, who also chairs the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF), led the table validation for the F.Y. 2024 Functionality Assessment of Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) at the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office.

This significant activity aimed to further validate the functionality of LCPCs in the province to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of robust policies and proactive interventions, as well as monitoring of programs, projects, and activities concerning child protection. The validation process also centered on identifying areas for improvement based on the final results of the provincial assessment.

The active involvement of key members of the IMTF, including the representatives from the Provincial Health Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Planning and Development Office, NGO/Interfaith groups, and DILG Provincial Office, have been instrumental in the success of this undertaking. The collective commitment and unwavering dedication, particularly of the LCPC and IMTF, have been pivotal in advancing the cause of social protection and welfare for children throughout the Province of Nueva Ecija.

Moving forward, the results of the LCPC functionality assessment will officially be transmitted to the Regional IMTF for consolidation and for subsequent endorsement to DILG Central Office.
