In preparation for the upcoming CY 2023 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA), the Provincial Office of DILG Nueva Ecija, headed by Provincial Director (PD) Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. conducted an Orientation on the LTIA Enhanced Criteria and Guidelines via Zoom Video Conferencing application, on March 10, 2023. The said activity was participated in by the members of the LTIA Provincial, City, and Municipality Awards Committee which are composed of the DILG, the Department of Justice, Local Trial Court, Liga ng mga Barangay Chapter President, Representative of the Local Peace and Order Council, and Representative of a Civil Society Organization.
PD Tactac formally opened the activity by delivering his opening remarks. In his message, he stressed the importance of recognizing the exemplar Lupong Tagapamayapa who upholds Katarungang Pambarangay in administering justice, advancing human rights protection and resolving or mediating conflict at the barangay level.
Taking over the nucleus of the activity were LGOO V Vivorey S. Lapitan and LGOO III Kristian Rob D. Santiago. LGOO V Lapitan thoroughly discussed the CY 2023 LTIA Enhanced Criteria and Guidelines. On the other hand, LGOO III Santiago facilitated the hands-on activity of the DILG Field Officers in navigating and encoding data in the LTIA-Information System.
The LTIA is an annual search which recognizes the outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa that adequately demonstrates the ability to judiciously and expeditiously resolve cases referred to them and demonstrate exemplary performance and commendable contribution in the promotion and implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay.
