Disaster preparedness and management takes a notch higher as the DILG-3 inaugurates its emergency operations center dubbed as "SANGHANDA: Sandigan ng Kahandaan" on February 1, 2023 in City of San Fernando, Pampanga

 The emergency operations center is equipped with modern monitors and radio communication devices to supervise disaster management in the regional level, as well as disaster rescue gears and equipment to augment local government units should the need arise.

Republic Act 10121 and NDRRMC Memorandum No. 131-s2018 prescribe the establishment of emergency operations center in all levels of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) to serve as repository of information and main hub for coordination between agencies collaborating in disaster management.
