The Province of Bulacan participated in the conduct of the Simultaneous Nationwide Tree Planting Activity held at Brgy. Kabayunan, Dona Remedios Trinidad on September 13, 2022.

The activity was spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bulacan, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR) Bulacan and Provincial Government of Bulacan- Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGB- BENRO).

In line with the theme, "Buhayin ang Pangangalaga sa Kalikasan", DILG Bulacan Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, DENR Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Emelita Lingat and PGB BENRO Representative Mark Allen Adriano inspired and encouraged the participants to continually do their part and to be proactive in protecting and preserving our environment for the sake of the future generation. They also emphasized the importance of collaboration and concerted efforts in the achievement of good environmental governance. A total of 150 participants joined the tree planting activity and 2,000 seedlings of Narra, Kupang and Bignay trees were planted around the vicinity of the barangay.

It was attended by representatives from Brgy. Kabayunan, Municipality of DRT, DILG Bulacan, DENR Bulacan, PGB-BENRO, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) 70th Infantry Batallion, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and partner local Civil Society Organizations.
