The DILG Nueva Ecija, spearheaded by PD Atty. Ofelio A. Tactac, Jr. conducted the Provincial Assessment Committee meeting on the Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit (BECA) CY. 2022 on October 3, 2022 in the DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office.

 The activity was aimed to assess the top performing barangays in the City and Municipal level in the Province to showcase and recognize the barangays that have shown exemplary performance on the implementation of their mandates and responsibilities under the Supreme Court Mandamus Order (G.R 171947-48) – to clean up, rehabilitate, and preserve Manila Bay.
LGOO II Ma. Christina Casares, Manila Bay Focal person, discussed the guidelines and the nine (9) indicators of the BECA assessment process. LGOO II Dess P. Bundoc, Manila Bay Focal person, discussed the assessment scoring of the Cities and Municipalities. During the assessment proper, the Provincial Assessment Committee (PAC) thoroughly validated the uploaded documents of the C/MAC level and clarifications were raised and were addressed by the members.
The meeting was attended by PAC members: DENR Representative Arnel Jay G. Vinluan, PG ENRO Ricardo A. Obniala, PIA NE Camille C. Nagaño, and CSO Representative of Papagayo Inc., Ariel G. Severino together with the DILG NE focal persons LGOO II Dess P. Bundoc and LGOO II Ma. Christina P. Casares.
