DILG Pampanga and PNP, along with other government agencies, converged to promote the government's landmark programs and accomplishments aimed towards positive change through the 'Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan' on May 1, 2022.
With the theme, 'Pagkakaisa ng Mamamayan at Pamahalaan Tungo sa Pagbangon, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,' the Duterte Legacy Caravan showcased various projects and programs of the government, as well as the beneficiaries who provided testimonies on how these programs changed their lives.
More than 700 households participated in the said activity and were given free services as part of the caravan such as haircut, food packs and vegetables, counseling, job fair, medical check-up, pet vaccinations, and hygiene kits with disposable face masks, among others.
This convergence led by the PNP also aimed to strengthen the collaboration of the various government offices and the community as partners in the realization of the nation's development.
Meanwhile, PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia underscored the essence of maintaining peace and order, which is the primary thrust of the current administration, as the foundation of progress in our country, especially with the upcoming elections.
"Maintaining peace and order has always been at the forefront of our advocacies. And with the upcoming national and local elections on May 9, I urge all our Cabalen to work together for a peaceful and successful elections. Buo ang aming tiwala na ang mga Kapampangan ay para sa kapayapaan," PD Fabia said.
Other agencies who were in attendance are representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
