To promote and increase the number of protected individuals against COVID-19 in the country, November 29 to December 1 of 2021 were declared as National Vaccination Days (NVD) in the Philippines.
Dubbed as "Bayanihan, Bakunahan: National COVID-19 Vaccination Days," the NVD aims to mobilize all stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to achieve the target of vaccinating at least fifteen million individuals.
During the 3-day national campaign, the DILG Field Officers monitored the flow the conduct of inoculation activities within their respective areas of responsibility. DILG Bataan Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano also visited the vaccination sites facilitated by the Provincial Health Office.
Intense information, education and campaign activities were distributed especially on social media prior to the NVD were released by the DILG and various departments to achieve successful implementation of the campaign.
The Provincial Government of Bataan, as agreed upon during the town hall meeting with local officials, launched the "Handog sa Bakunadong Bataeño," a special program of the province to enjoin the remaining constituents who are not yet vaccinated to get their jabs.
Five (5) kilos of rice were distributed to those who will receive their 1st, 2nd and booster shots on NVD as an early "pamasko" to these individuals who participated and resisted against vaccine hesitancy.
