The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III, alongside the Department of Information Communications and Technology, conducted the Regional Orientation on VaxCertPH on September 16, 2021.

 The Regional Orientation on VaxCert PH serves as a platform for DILG-LG Officials and Local Government Units (LGUs) to be oriented on the VaxCert Application of which shall prepare them on the technical aspects of the application prior to its roll-out this September.

The VaxCert PH is an initiative in partnership with several National Government Agencies (NGAs) that serves as a digital verification system that certifies fully vaccinated citizens. The said system lets a fully-vaccinated individual request and generate their vaccination certificate. The said initiative shall be strategically coursed and monitored through the LGUs.

The LGUs, guided by the local NGA representatives, are expected to champion and implement the VaxCertPH application in their respective localities and shall ensure the smooth utilization of the said platform by their constituents.

DILG Central Luzon OIC Regional Director Jay Timbreza has emphasized the need for all community members' cooperation in combatting COVID-19. "Let us join hands and strengthen our collaboration and coordination, alone, we can do so little, together we can do so much", he said.

VaxCertPH is under the whole-of-nation approach strategy of the National Government in order to combat the transmission of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and alleviate the effects that it posts to the community.
