DILG R3, thru its LG Capability Development Division, held a Virtual Orientation on the StaySafe.ph application system on July 9, 2021 via Zoom cloud platform.
Regional officers and employees (permanent and Contract of Service) consisted of Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, Unit Heads, technical and administrative staff attended the activity.
It was aimed to orient all DILG Regional Office officers and employees on the use and purpose of the StaySafe.Ph application system on its functional modules: Citizen and Establishment Modules. Likewise, another objective is to implement the Establishment Module at the DILG Regional Office III for health condition reporting of employees, contact tracing purposes and future inspection and issuance of the Safety Seal logo under the Safety Seal Certification Program (SSCP) of the national government per DILG Memorandum Circular 2021-053 dated May 12, 2021.
OIC-Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, in his opening message, said that the implementation of the system at the DILG Regional Office will help the management to further observe healthy and safety protocols against the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to monitor health condition of the employees. He further expressed support in embracing the adoption of the system and hoped for everyone's safety and good health.
The Regional Information and Communication Technology facilitated the orientation which highlighted the background, features and demonstration of the application system particularly its citizen and establishment modules.
The StaySafe.ph app is the government's digital contact tracing application of choice and shall be made mandatory for adoption and use in all national government agencies and instrumentalities, and Local Government Units (LGUs), and promoted for use in all other private establishments, facilities, offices as stated in the National IATF Resolution #85 dated November 26, 2020.##
