The DILG - Olongapo City Inspection and Certification Team issued the Safety Seal to the City Government of Olongapo on June 29, 2021 for ensuring that the health protocols against COVID-19 are being complied with in the city hall complex.
During that ceremonial awarding of the Seal, City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino, Jr. received the Safety Seal Certification from DILG City Director Amada T. Dumagat and the members of the Inspection and Certification Team.
"Isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit 'di pa rin tayo (City Government) nag-iisyu ng Safety Seal, gusto ko sana na 'yung City Government mismo mag-comply muna sa Safety Seal," said Mayor Paulino. "Hopefully, pati yung mga barangay, lahat ng police stations, lahat ng government offices ay mag-apply na, magkaroon ng Safety Seal din para tayo ang unang nag-comply bago natin pina-comply sa mga mamamayan."
Prior to the awarding, the DILG Inspection and Certification Team composed of LGOO V Fernando M. Erese, Jr., City Fire Director Maria Leah A. Sajili and PMAJ Joseph Albert G. Seño, PNP Representative, inspected the City Hall Complex, check the establishment's compliance to Minimum Public Health Standards (MPHS) and use of StaySafe.ph application.
The Safety Seal Certification Program aims to increase the compliance of private and public entities with the minimum public health standards set by the government. Moreover, the program seeks to encourage the adoption and use of the Stay Safe.ph digital contact tracing application, as well as, to increase the confidence of clients and consumer as the nation safely reopens the economy.
The Safety Seal is a physical manifestation of the compliance of an establishment to the minimum health standards required by government to contain the spread of COVID-19.
