To help local government units (LGUs) prepare for the upcoming anti-drug abuse council (ADAC) performance audits, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Olongapo City Office conducted an orientation on the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit and Awards and Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADAC) Functionality Audit at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, Olongapo City on April 29, 2021.
Present during the said activity were representatives of the Olongapo City Police Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, other City ADAC member agencies, ADAC city focal person, and secretaries of the 17 barangays of Olongapo.
LGOO III Vincent E. Catacutan, DILG Olongapo focal person, discussed the guidelines for the 2019 and 2020 functionality audit of city and barangay ADACs. While there are new indicators for 2020, some indicators were relaxed for the LGUs, in consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In her closing remarks, DILG Olongapo City Director Amada T. Dumagat reminded city and barangay government functionaries to prepare well for the city and barangay ADAC functionality audits since the results of these audits will form part of their Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) and Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) assessment, respectively.
SGLG is the Department's flagship program and primary evaluation tool for assessing level of local governance of provincial, city and municipal LGUs, while SGLGB is its barangay-level version.
