A stronger and more collaborative scheme is set to fortify the contact tracing protocols in the province of Pampanga as all barangays and the Department of the Interior and Local Government forged ties in a virtual meeting held on March 19, 2021.
DILG Pampanga Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia and Liga ng mga Barangay President Hon. Gabby Mutuc met the DILG-hired contact tracing team leaders of all cities and municipalities in the province to set forth an inclusive CT protocols in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.
Board Member Mutuc relayed before the virtual audience the gratitude and regard of Vice Governor Lilia G. Pineda on the effectiveness and the importance of the DILG contact tracers on the efforts of the provincial government to curb the local transmission of COVID-19.
BM Mutuc also committed that the provincial government, and the roster of punong barangays in the province is always ready to coordinate and provide the support needed to further vamp up the contact tracing scheme in the province.
PD Fabia, on another note, underscored that contact tracing should not be tantamount to only profiling and coordinating close contact cases, but to analyze trends, projections, and common variables among the cases for further action of the local government units.
"I have always been saying this that we really have to work. But this time, in a more aggressive and progressive manner as we are experiencing local surge in the number of active cases in the province," PD Fabia stressed during the meeting.
