The DILG Nueva Ecija participated in the conduct of 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2021 led by LGOO III Vivorey S. Lapitan on March 11, 2021 at DILG Nueva Ecija Provincial Office.

 The NSED is a quarterly NDRRMC activity that seeks to intensify awareness and enhance the public preparedness against earthquakes through the regular conduct of drills and simulation exercises in accordance with the contingency plans of Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs).

The DILG Nueva Ecija personnel demonstrated the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure as part of the drill by adhering and observing the minimum public health precautionary measures. LGOO III Lapitan briefly discussed the importance of NSED and its pertinent guidelines on scenario-based preparedness and response plans.
