On October 19, 2020, the DILG Nueva Ecija conducted a virtual coordination meeting participated by DILG NE Provincial and Field Office personnel, with a goal to discuss the upcoming deployment of the contact tracers (CTs) to the LGUs.
LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes shared DILG Circular No. 2020-28 with the subject "Guidelines on the Management and Deployment of DILG-Hired Contact Tracers". The meeting tackled the specific functions and duties of CTs, the institutional arrangements with the LGUs as well as the roles of the DILG Field Officers regarding their deployment.
It was emphasized in the meeting that the contact tracers must undergo the required training prior to their deployment and adhere to ethical principles of handling personal information, in accordance with the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.
LGOO VI Reyes proposed the strategy formulated by the DILG NE provincial staff for the smooth management of the hired contact tracers once they are deployed to the LGUs. To address the concerns and suggestions of the field officers, an open forum was also conducted.
Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino gave his remarks, encouraging the personnel to share the announcement regarding the remaining CT slots for the province. He also thanked everyone for the support to the Bayanihan 2.
