The City Government of Angeles, headed by Mayor Carmelo G. Lazatin, Jr. held the 3rd Quarter City Peace and Order Council meeting on September 4, 2019 to address issues relating to Peace and Order and Public Safety.

Issues that were discussed during the meeting were updates on Barangay Drug Clearing; police visibility in public and private schools; updates on public road clearing operations; and updates on street children and Badjaos,

Likewise, one of Mayor Lazatin's concerns during the meeting is the security preparation on SEA Games. According to the mayor, the safety of athletes and participants of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2019 must be ensured by deploying additional cops particularly in the city's entertainment and tourist spots. Some of the games will be held at Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center, Angeles Sports Complex, Distributive Education, and Deca Clark Resort and Residence.

According to PNP Col Vega, 700 policemen will be deployed to provide security during the 30th SEA Games. The SEA Games will be held on November 30 to December 11, 2019 in Clark, Manila and Subic.
