The Office of the Civil Defense and the Department of the Interior and Local Government Angeles City in coordination with the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office reviewed the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM) Plan of the 33 barangays of Angeles City on February 15, 2019.
The activity's objective was to ensure that the BDRRM Plans in the city will truly help the people of Angeles to be prepared for any disaster that may occur.
The Quality Assessment System (QAS) aims to establish and strengthen the capacities of communities to anticipate, cope, and recover from the negative impacts of emergency occurrences and disaster at the local level through quality-based local DRRM planning and budgeting. Also, this aims to ensure the quality of BDRRM Plans through an accessible and user friendly monitoring and evaluation mechanism from the barangay to the national level, and ensure active and meaningful community and sectoral participation in the planning process.
