City Wide Clean-up Day – DILG Regional Office III joined the clean-up activity within its premises, roads and nearby waterways in support to the City-Wide Clean-up spearheaded by the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on February 1, 2019 from 6 o'clock in the morning onwards.
The activity conducted not only to help keep the City clean but also to raise public awareness and promote volunteerism for a clean and healthy environment. It is also in line with one of the Department's advocacies of promoting environment-protective LGUs and part of the on-going compliance with the Supreme Court decision on the Manila Bay clean-up, rehabilitation and preservation.
A total of 18 garbage bags of waste were collected during the activity to be picked-up by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The annual Citywide Clean-up day is part of the strategies of the city government to fully realize its commitment to the protection and preservation of the environment and to mark the start of the week-long celebration of San Fernando's 12th Cityhood Charter Anniversary.
