A total of 16 Local Government Units from the Provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga have participated in the Training on Post Disaster Rehabilitation and Recovery Management on December 10-12, 2018 at Subic Bay Peninsular Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
The 3-day training aims to strengthen LGU capacities in terms of planning and execution techniques on the rehabilitation and recovery management of disasters.
“We are geared towards a quick and safe restoration of human centered services and infrastructures once our locality is devastated by a disaster” said DILG Monitoring and Evaluation Division Chief Lerrie Hernandez during the activity. “Preparedness is an important aspect, yet, rehabilitation and recovery is correspondingly key thematic area we have to place in order” she added.
Partner agencies from National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University (DHVTSU) guided the LGU functionaries in crafting their respective strategies and approaches on post disaster rehabilitation and recovery.
