The Men Opposed to VAW Everywhere (MOVE) Olongapo City Chapter (MOCC) took a significant step forward in their mission to combat gender-based violence by holding their first coordination meeting with barangay officials and functionaries on May 17, 2023. The meeting, presided over by MOCC Chairman Manuel M. Gabriel, took place at the FMA Hall, City Hall Complex, West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City. This gathering marked the follow-through of MOCC's Agenda Phase-I: the establishment of MOVE Offices in the 17 Barangays of Olongapo City, as well as the commencement of Phase-II: Usapang Lalaki Para sa VAWC Free Olongapo.

On May 8, 2023, the City of Tarlac, headed by Hon. Maria Cristina C. Angeles, conducted the inauguration and turnover of five (5) service vehicles at the City Hall Compound Tarlac City, Tarlac, — a reward for being conferred with the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) last 2022.

On May 9, 2023, the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Team chaired by DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, conducted the Provincial Validation on the Functionality of the Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) and Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) at DILG Tarlac Provincial Office, San Roque, Tarlac City.

Olongapo City is taking a significant stride towards achieving the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) by facilitating the 2023 SGLG City Orientation and Audit. Initiated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government - Olongapo City (DILG-OC), the activity aimed to identify areas for improvement and ensure full compliance with the updated SGLG criteria ahead of the actual validation.
