Being the highest percentage of LGU passers in the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) in Central Luzon, the province of Bataan was visited by the officials of Magpet, Cotabato for their benchmarking of LGU best practices on February 14, 2023.
The activity aims to discover, gather and exchange views and ideas on the effective practices implemented by the LGUs in Bataan in the provision of their responsive and excellent public service.
Mayor Jay Laurence Gonzaga, sanggunian bayan members and department heads lead LGU Magpet on their visit to the municipalities of Orani and Pilar.
Orani Mayor Efren Pascual Jr. warmly welcomed the delegates and shared their implementation process on environmental management and tourism. Likewise, Mayor Carlos Pizarro Jr., together with the LGU officials of Pilar, presented their best practices on disaster risk reduction and management.
PD Herman expressed her gratitude and appreciated the Magpet delegates for choosing Bataan for their benchmarking activities.
"I hope that thru this activity, you were able to capture and replicate the best practices shared by the Bataan LGUs as Magpet aims to get another SGLG award", PD Herman added.
CTL Mildred Sazon, Orani MLGOO Maribel Patawaran and Pilar MLGOO Cherryl Beltran were also present to support the activity.
