The DILG Bataan Provincial Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Team remains persistent in preparing the LGUs of Bataan for this year's SGLG validation.
Following the pilot coachings held in Pilar and City of Balanga, the team was able to conduct again a series of orientations in Limay and Orion on February 6, and in Abucay and Mariveles on February 8 and 9, respectively.
In one of her statements, CTL Mildred Sazon wittingly compared SGLG, as the "mother of all awards" at the LGU level, to the Oscars of Hollywood.
Quoting Former SILG Eduardo Año, she also said that SGLG stands as an emblem of pride; for it is not easy to comply with all its requirements and that the coveted seal is given only after the LGU has surpassed all the indicators that various laws demand.
The DILG Bataan SGLG Team is headed by PD Belina Herman and composed of OIC-CTL Mildred Sazon, LGOO VI Cristy Blanco as the Provincial SGLG Focal Person, with LGOO III Danilyn Peña and LGOO II Joanna Marie Cruz as SGLG Alternate Provincial Focal Persons. The team is expected to complete the series of coachings this month in the remaining LGUs.
