pmcc 1Aurora, Philippines –The Provincial Management Coordinating Council (PMCC) of Aurora convened its 2nd Quarter Meeting on May 8, 2025, marking a pivotal step in shaping the province’s Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Agenda for the next three years.

pmcc 1During the activity, the DILG Aurora provided orientation on the POPS Planning Process, which provides for a structured framework to craft the best approaches that are aligned with Aurora’s development goals and overarching vision for peace and order, public safety, and welfare of the people.

Based on Aurora’s situational analysis, the council identified pressing and emerging concerns which become the foundation of its objectives or the desired state of peace and security in the province.

pmcc 1Consequently, the council identified key strategies and outlined critical programs, projects, services, and activities aimed at enhancing crime prevention and sustaining public safety through strengthened collaboration among member agencies, LGUs, CSOs, and other stakeholders.

The planning workshops were successfully held with the concerted efforts and insights of the representatives from PNP and its Maritime Group, BFP, BJMP, AFP, and PDEA. Concerned agencies also presented their actions taken and ways forward to ensure peaceful elections.
