Maria Aurora, Aurora - As part of the Local Government Month celebration this October, DILG Provincial Director Ener P. Cambronero engaged with the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) of Maria Aurora in a meaningful discussion on the results of the C.Y. 2024 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) and the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB), today, October 4, 2024 at the Municipal Hall, Maria Aurora, Aurora.
The activity served as a platform not only to highlight the key performance indicators for LTIA and SGLGB, but also to provide an opportunity for barangays to identify areas for improvement and further enhance their programs and services in line with the national government’s goals for local development. DILG Cluster Team Leader Ariel G. Espinosa and LGOO V Clarissa G. Hess were also present and shared an in-depth analysis of the LTIA and SGLGB results, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of the barangays.
In his message, PD Cambronero encouraged all barangays in Maria Aurora to strive for excellence and aim to be recognized as SGLGB passers and LTIA winners in future assessments. He emphasized that achieving these recognitions is not only a mark of good governance but also a testament to the barangay’s dedication to quality public service delivery.
This engagement with LnB of Maria Aurora is just one of the key activities scheduled this October to celebrate the Local Government Month. Similar discussions will also be conducted in all LnBs across the province, which aim to strengthen the partnership between the DILG Aurora and local government units in promoting good governance and sustainable development.
