On November 8, 2024, the Provincial Government of Tarlac, under the leadership of Honorable Governor Susan A. Yap, launched a new waste management project funded by the FY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance - Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF). This project included the acquisition of a 3.5 cubic meter garbage truck, stationed at the Provincial Equipment Pool Office in the Province of Tarlac, with a project cost of PHP 3,999,000.00. The vehicle will improve waste collection and disposal services for the province and four district hospitals, benefiting a population of 774,441.
This new addition marks a critical step toward enhancing environmental sanitation across Tarlac Province. With this equipment, the provincial government aims to improve the efficiency of waste management, promoting cleaner surroundings and better public health for the community. The project aligns with Tarlac’s dedication to sustainability and high-quality service delivery.
Supported by the Seal of Good Local Governance - Incentive Fund, this initiative reflects the provincial government’s proactive approach to environmental management. The inauguration of the project was successfully attended by DILG Regional Office III Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO IV, and DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V. They were joined by Cluster Team 1 Leader Dennis A. Daquiz, and the local officials and department heads of the Provincial Government of Tarlac headed by Honorable Governor Susan A. Yap.
