In view of the 18-day campaign to end Violence against Women and their Children (VAWC), the DILG Pampanga spearheaded the activity titled “Shielding the Vulnerable: Providing Safe Spaces for All through Well-Equipped Officers” on November 28, 2023 via Zoom Application. The activity served as a venue to inform and equip the DILG Field Officers, members of the GFPS, LCPC, LCAT-VAWC, and Barangay VAW Desk Officers on the Expanded VAWC Bill and Safe Spaces Act.

 

On November 24, 2023, a significant stride toward the empowerment of small and micro-enterprises (SMEs) in Floridablanca, Pampanga was achieved through the "Nego-skwela sa Barangay" advocacy partnership project led by the Pampanga Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Council (MSAC).

This impactful project aimed to equip 25 local SMEs with essential skills in business and financial management, enhancing their capacity to sustain and expand their ventures. The training session was designed to cater the SMEs located in various barangays, aligning with the objective of widespread community development.

 

Earlier today, the City of San Fernando proudly inaugurated a new 1-storey, 3-classroom building at the City College of San Fernando, Civic Center, CSFP. With a capacity of 40 students per room, this project directly impacts Aslag students, marking a significant step towards enhancing educational infrastructure.

 

The Local Government Academy underscored the potential of Ing Kulitan to carve a niche in Cultural Governance, as DILG Pampanga’s Sub-LGRRC chronicles its and achievements and initiatives during the conduct of the onsite validation for the LGRRC performance assessment for 2023.

The results of the assessment shall contribute to the bid of the CL-LGRRC for the Capacity Development Awards for Catalysts of Execellence (CapDev ACE) -Ugnay ng Mamamayan Award for 2023.
