Guagua, Pampanga - The Municipality of Guagua, celebrated a momentous occasion on September 1, 2023 with the grand inauguration of three (3) Mini Garbage Trucks.
This remarkable endeavor was made possible through funding from the Seal of Good Local Government Incentive Fund (SGLGIF), awarded to the Municipality after passing the Seal of Good Local Governance assessment.
During the ceremony, Mayor Anthony Joseph S. Torres extended his heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the project's realization. He emphasized the significance of the project and its potential to elevate Guagua to even greater heights.
"Alam nyo po, this is very meaningful. This will not be possible without the efforts of everyone. This award is one of the best examples na kung tayo ay magtutulong-tulong mas lalo pa po tayong uusbong at magiging progresibo. Kami po ay nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng bumubuo ng SGLGIF. Asahan nyo po na magagamit po ng aming bayan ang trucks na ito at magagamit po ito sa pag-unlad ng bayan ng Guagua," Mayor Torres said.
These Mini Garbage Trucks are a manifestation of Guagua's commitment to enhance its waste management infrastructure.
Present during the activity are the local functionaries of Guagua and representatives from DILG Regional Office and Provincial Office of Pampanga.
