Earlier today, the Pampanga Peace and Order Council, thru the Gawad Payapa Technical Working Group (TWG), spearheads an orientation on the 2023 Gawad Payapa Award Guidelines and Indicator References via Zoom Application.

The Gawad Payapa Award is an innovation of the Provincial Peace and Order Council, led by Provincial Governor and PPOC Chairperson, Hon. Dennis G. Pineda, that aims to assess the functionality of the component POCs, and also to provide incentive to POCs with exemplary performance. The said incentive may help our Local POCs to sustain innovations and other initiative in the promotion and maintenance of peace and order efforts in localities. Moreover, the purpose of the platform is to recognize the efforts of the Local POCs who displayed outstanding performance not only in the level of functionality, but also to the efficiency and effectiveness in terms of operations and collaboration with other stakeholders.

As PPOC Secretariat Head, DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myra B. Moral-Soriano, CESO V graced the activity and expressed her gratitude to all the participants for their support and dedication in maintaining peace, order and public safety in every locality. “According to Former US President Ronald Reagan, peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with conflict by peaceful means,” she quoted.

The roll-out was attended by the Local Chief Executives, Sangguniang Bayan/Panglungsod Chairperson on Peace and Order, Chief of Police, C/MPOC Focal Person of all LGUs in the Province of Pampanga.
