In recognition of their outstanding performance in the recent 2023 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards assessment, the Provincial Government of Pampanga awarded Php 50,000 cash incentive to this year’s provincial winners during its Monday flag-raising activity.
The plaque of recognition and checks were presented by Vice Governor Lilia G. Pineda and PD Myra Moral-Soriano. They were joined by members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa headed by the respective Punong Barangays of Brgy. Malpitic, CSFP (Component Cities Category), Brgy. Balucuc, Apalit (1st to 3rd Class Municipalities Category), and Brgy. San Vicente, Sto. Tomas (4th to 6th Class Municipalities Category.
In the past, the best performing Lupons of Pampanga have consistently made it to the regional and national assessment, giving pride and honor to the province. This year is also notable because Pampanga is the only province in the entire Region 3 to have produced winners across three categories.
“This year’s LTIA posed greater challenge to our Lupons with the introduction of enhanced guidelines and criteria. But their performance in the recent assessment is a clear manifestation of their commitment to good governance and strong desire to continuously raise the bar of public service. We cannot emphasize enough the relevance and importance of Lupons as vanguards of the barangay in maintaining peace and order in the community,” said PD Soriano.
LTIA is an annual search established in 1997 as a means to institutionalize a system of granting economic benefits and other incentives to the Lupong Tagapamayapa that demonstrates exemplary performance in settling disputes at the grassroots level.
