The Municipality of Bulakan marks a new chapter in their pursuit for disaster preparedness and resilience. The Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) funded 18.5 million worth evacuation facility was formally inaugurated by Hon. Patrick Neil Meneses and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Bulakan together with the DILG Regional Office represented by Assistant Division Chief Engr. Lee Allen Pineda. The inauguration took part and is one of the highlights of the whole day activity celebration of the Marcelo Del Pilar day.
The purpose of the evacuation facility is to provide refuge during disaster particularly for the residents of the low-lying and coastal barangays of Bulakan. Located strategically near the municipal hall and other social services office, families that will be using the facility during disasters will experience better and faster services. The evacuation facility is also designed to cater to other purposes such as venue for municipal wide activities and other functions for the Bulakenyos.
